Well Drilling Project in Burkina Faso, Africa works with local partners to ensure the right solution is used in the right place. Our goal is to bring clean, sustainable water supplies to within a half mile (1 km) of a village.
Our charity works with local partners to provide access to safe drinking water as well as basic hygiene and sanitation programs. We have recently gained the support of the deputy mayor of the village of Bouassa, and our drilling project is completely in line with the socio-economic development projects for this municipal in terms of access to water and even more in direct alignment with the overall plans the state has for this nation!
In this context, we will train a person who will be responsible for maintenance of public pump that will be installed. We will also set up an association of water users who will be responsible for managing the well. In addition we will run seminars to raise awareness for the village population in proper use of water. These training sessions will significantly reduce the burden in the community in terms of waterborne diseases, and will have a direct impact on economic development by allowing villagers to increase their productivity in their daily activities.
