In a few days we will receive 50% of what has been granted by the Vinci Foundation. This amount will pay the company that will perform the borehole drilling. In other words, we hope that drilling and the hand pump will be welcomed by residents of Bouassa by early July!!
But as you know, the project does not stop there! There is still much more to accomplish: the latrines with sanitary training, the organization the children’s work, the creation of the vegetable garden and the building of a fence around the garden, etc. In short, there are still many steps in front of us, but we are well on the way, don’t you think?? Most of all, this means that we still need to raise additional funds! The challenge of € 13,500 is set before us! It’s still a lot but it is definitely worth it for families and children Bouassa!
During our recent stay, a meal for the children was organized again. They were about 60 children that showed up. But this time, the elders of the neighborhood where the water well will be located were also invited to share this meal. They were about ten of them and they enjoyed having this meal with us. They also shared their hope in the future of the village because of our project. In any case, Bouassa is waiting for us, and we believe that for them, and for thousands of neighborhoods and villages in Africa …
