The Hand Pump is installed and the first bucket of water has been filled in Bouassa, the village where we chose to see the first well implemented!
And we’re really, really happy for what is going on there. We can easily imagine the joy of the people in Bouassa! For more than a week they saw the workers drilling a borehole and now have access to fresh and incredibly pure water based on the analysis results that were completed last week!!!
And as good news never comes alone, we found out last Wednesday that the tax exemption for donations for French residents will now be possible! (If any USA or UK residents have an idea how we can work on this for your countries, please let me know!!)
In a few weeks we will work on submiting more grant applications for the rest of the project that will involve the construction of latrines, but also, due to last week’s findings… a water tower!!
But honestly speaking, this first step that has been taken, is not, by any means, the least important for the village of Bouassa!
