This could be the slogan of a promotional campaign for an ophthalmologist or an optician. And that’s the case! In fact, at the beginning of February, the small Protestant parish of Bouassa organized free eye exams for the people in Bouassa. In an improvised hangar (made with sheets that had been torn off during a storm during the last rainy season!), More than 70 adults and about 30 children benefited from these exams. An ophthalmologist and an optician took a whole day to check the condition of the eyes of these patients. The village chief had been informed of the initiative and encouraged the affected people of Bouassa to go to the consultation.

Some people received a prescription for further follow-up, others even received corrective lenses that friends of Bouassa, traveling to Burkina Faso, had brought with them. For the village, such a step is a milestone and other initiatives will see the light of day in the coming months.

In the meantime, we continue our efforts with the foundation I mentioned in the previous article. Ideally, and to avoid wasting too much time in the finalization of our projects, we would have to raise specific funds. Donating to a foundation, is worth it in terms of tax benefits. This is true for both individuals and businesses. So, if you want to help us spread the word, do not hesitate to contact us for more information.
